There were major fears in the period after the UK voted for Brexit in 2016 of substantial repercussions for the Irish economy, especially on businesses operating in the area closest to the border with Northern Ireland. In my role as former MD of a furniture manufacturing firm and as current commercial property owner I was interviewed on Irish language radio (Radio na Gaeltachta) and on Irish Language TV (TG4) in that period to articulate some of the issues.
