I was reminded of times gone by when a friend sent me a calling card/logo seen in the halls of St Macartan’s College Monaghan circa 1995 and used prolifically by a group of disenfranchised teenage boys on walls and desks and anywhere else with a flat surface. According to the Urban Dictionary a Shit House Bandit is “Slang name for anyone who grafittis restrooms.”

In any case, following a prolonged period of increasing graffiti the schools headmaster of the era (Blonkers) decided to act. But after what must have been a busy and expensive weekend for the school repainting all the toilet cubicles the SHB’s decided to give the walls a final lick with a fresh coat of scrawlings with this rhyme among them –

All Blonkers Work, t’was all in vain,

The Shit House Bandit strikes again.
