Sharing Ice Cream

Sharing Ice Cream

She said, “We’re a team.
Let’s share ice cream!”
She’d pick. We’d share.
So far, so fair.

She tasted, shivered, generosity quivered.
Gluttony began to smolder,
Hence I was given the cold shoulder.
She held it firmly in her clutch;
I was ne’er to get a touch.
And how it cut me
To the bone,
Watching her finish off
The cone.
